From Ihram at Miqat to Halq — everything a first-time pilgrim from Bangladesh needs to know before departure.
Performing Umrah is a lifelong dream for millions of Muslims. With proper preparation, the journey becomes smooth, focused and spiritually rewarding. This guide walks you through every step.
Before you travel
- Make sure your passport has at least 6 months of validity.
- Complete meningitis vaccination and keep the certificate.
- Attend a pre-departure Umrah training session.
- Pack two sets of Ihram (for men) and comfortable footwear.
Entering Ihram at the Miqat
Pilgrims flying from Dhaka usually pass the Miqat (Qarn al-Manazil / Yalamlam) during the flight. Make niyyah and begin Talbiyah before crossing — the cabin crew will announce it.
Tawaf, Sa'i and Halq
Tawaf consists of seven circuits around the Kaaba starting from the Black Stone. After two rakat behind Maqam Ibrahim, proceed to Safa and Marwah for Sa'i. Finally, men shave or trim the hair and women cut a fingertip length to complete Umrah.
Tips from our Muallims
- Perform Tawaf late at night for less crowd.
- Keep a small bag with water, dates and a power bank.
- Save the hotel location on your phone map.
